Detailed Itineraries of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Helicopter

Our journey starts with a half day sightseeing tour of major religious landmarks of Kathmandu valley. Travelers can visit various temples and ancient palaces of this medieval city. Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath are major religious landmarks of Nepal.

You will get magical views of the entire Kathmandu city from the hilltop in Swayambhunath. You can also observe breathtaking sunrise views from this viewpoint. There are many UNESCO-listed <strong>world heritage sites</strong> of durbar squares in Kathmandu valley. These medieval temples and palaces are an essential part of local heritage. Mystical alleyways and temples will provide you with a glimpse of ancient times.

After this short tour, you will have your lunch at the hotel. Moreover, you will then take a scenic flight to Nepalgunj and stay at a hotel. It takes around half an hour to arrive in this beautiful city.

You will have your early morning breakfast at the hotel in Nepalgunj and then take a flight to Simikot. Simikot is a remote hilly region in Nepal with beautiful natural diversity. You can explore around the area so that you will get acclimatized and adapt to high altitude conditions.

After arriving at Simikot, you will take a scenic helicopter flight from Simikot to Hilsa. You can take this Kailash Mansarovar helicopter tour with five other people. However, you should not take more than 10 kilos of baggage weight.

After the immigration process in <strong>Nepal-China Border,</strong> you will take a scenic drive to Taklakot in Tibet, covering around 27 km. You will explore around Taklakot and rest in the evening at a local hotel.

We will wake up early in the morning to observe the beautiful sunrise from various viewpoints. On this day in our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, we will rest and acclimatize at Taklakot which lies at an altitude of 3900m. Acclimatization is essential as it helps you to adapt to various high altitude conditions. This process is a must before you start your Kailash Kora Circuit Parikrama. We will rest in the evening after exploring around Taklakot.

You will rise early and then take a scenic drive observing a beautiful scenario to arrive at “Mansarovar” holy lake. The sacred lake is around two hours from Taklakot. Moreover, There is another religiously significant lake called the “Rakshastal” near Taklakot. You will have a delicious lunch at a hotel in the Mansarovar area and rest for the evening.

Our Mansarovar circuit continues as you will take a drive to <strong>Yama Dwar and Darchen.</strong> At the Mansarovar holy lake, you can explore around beautiful religious landmarks and perform puja and other ritual offerings. The serene lake is one of the highest lakes in the world.

You can dip at the pristine lake as it is generally considered a great religious act and believed to cleanse your soul. After a while at this beautiful lake, you will take a short drive to Darchen, which takes around 1 hr. You can start the Mt Kailash circuit early in the morning with a trek to Dirapuk from Darchen.

You will arrive at Tarbouche first, also known as the <strong>valley of god. </strong>You will begin your Kailash Yatra on foot after you complete immigration formalities. You can also take a horse or a helper. After 4 - 5 hours, you will arrive at Dirapuk, which is Mt. Kailash’s north face. You will rest for the evening in Dirapuk.

On this day, we will take the Kailash Kora circuit, which is quite a challenging climb. After continuing your course for a few hours, you will arrive at the <strong>Dolma La pass (5613m). </strong>The beautiful mountain pass provides you with incredible views of the region, and you can take as many pictures as you want.

We will then descend after exploring the region and arrive at Gaurikund. The trail from Gaurikund will lead you to Zuthulphuk in around 8-9 hours, covering a distance of approximately 22 km. We will stay overnight in Zuthulphuk.

We will continue our tour with a trek to Darchen from Zuthulphuk, which takes around two hours. After arriving at the Tibet-Nepal border, you will complete your immigration process and then drive to Hilsa via Taklakot. After arriving at Hilsa, we will rest at a hotel in Hilsa as our 3rd day of Parikrama comes to an end.

We will take a morning flight from Hilsa to Simikot and then to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepalgunj">Nepalgunj</a>. The scenic environment of the region looks incredibly beautiful from the top. Weather conditions are quite unpredictable in high altitude regions.
